Sir Juke is a bespoke retro jukebox hire service based in Northamptonshire, with nationwide travel available. It started life as a Sound Leisure CD jukebox. We've modified it inside and kept what gives it character: the original buttons and the retro look. There's no touch screen here. Guests key in their song the proper way, on a machine that is more reliable and does far more than the original.
You won't find thousands of songs on Sir Juke, and that's deliberate. The playlist is chosen by you, and by your guests if you like, so the jukebox becomes a journey through the collective taste of everyone at your event. Guests gather round it to see what's been picked, find songs they'd forgotten they loved, and every track fits the occasion.
The light box carries your names, theme or artwork, and built-in FX lighting pulses in time with the music. It works just as well at a garden party as at a larger venue.

We hired Adam’s Sir Juke Box for my 40th birthday party, and it was absolutely fantastic! My husband had personalised it as a surprise for me, which made it even more special. It was a brilliant focal point for the party, and being able to choose and play their own songs meant everyone got involved and we had a packed dance floor!
Adam even included some of my favourite songs, which was such a lovely personal touch. The lights were a great addition and really helped create the perfect party atmosphere. Set-up was quick, professional and completely hassle-free.

An amazing piece of kit which really made our night, and gave all our guests a great bit of fun choosing their favourite tracks, including suggesting them in advance for our playlist. Wonderful service from the supplier, with exceptional attention to detail, and a professional and easy process involved from start to finish in terms of discussing how it all worked, how to select and provide our music, whether or not we needed additional speakers, lighting, personalisation, operation of the kit, and pickup/dropoff. Highly recommended to anyone, to add a unique layer of fun to your party.
We hired Sir Juke for my children’s joint birthday party and I’m so glad we did! The juke box was loaded up with my kid’s playlist (which I shared from Spotify). The kids absolutely loved being able to choose their own songs and dancing the afternoon away. The lights were excellent and really made the party atmosphere. We were able to pause the tunes for pass the parcel and Adam was so helpful setting up the juke box, a real professional. Thank you so much Sir Juke for making my children’s birthday so special!
This thing is epic. I went to a friends wedding and the first thing i noticed was the amazing sound coming from the jukebox. I instantly gravitated towards it and realised that it had been completely customised for the event. The light box with the happy couple’s name flashed different colours in time with the music and the fx lights completely filled the room. It was great that all the original buttons worked because it really maintained that original retro feel. Every song on there was an absolute banger. There was nothing on there that could be chosen which would kill the mood or clear the dance floor. A great night and mostly due to this machine! Would highly recommend for any event.
Saw the jukebox in action at the Hollowell steam rally within the beer tent. What a great bit of kit. Spoke to Adam (the owner) - really nice chap - who explained about the possible customisation for whatever event. Very user friendly and will definitely be hiring it in the near future.

We've modified the system behind the buttons. It still looks and feels like the original, and it now does much more on the day.
001 Through your day
- Music that changes through the day. Each part of your day can have its own mode with its own music. A mode can stop guests choosing songs, such as background jazz during dinner. The next can switch to a different playlist for the party, with the full jukebox open for guests to choose from. You could even add a late-evening mode for when the kids have gone to bed and things really start to get wild. Each mode runs on a schedule you set, and can also be changed manually from the admin panel. One mode is included in the hire, and each additional mode is £40.
- You stay in control of the timing. Party starting earlier or later than planned? The jukebox won't switch without asking. It prompts you when a change is due, and you can move back and forth between modes whenever you like. If there are still songs queued from the previous mode that you'd like to hear, the jukebox asks how many you'd like to carry over to the new one, or you can play out the whole queue first while the new mode's songs appear on screen straight away.
- Keeps playing from your playlist. If the queue runs out, there will be a short 15-second pause before the jukebox automatically queues up a new song from your playlist. A moment of quiet is a good thing: it reminds guests the queue is empty so they come back and choose more.
- Even volume. Songs are mastered at different volumes, so some naturally sound much louder than others and you'd find yourself reaching for the volume between tracks. The jukebox matches the levels automatically, so a quiet ballad and a loud anthem play at the same volume.
002 For your big moments
- A secret library for special songs. Keep as many special songs as you need off the menu so no one can play them early: your first dance, a choreographed dance with friends, your entrance music, a birthday song and more. Key in an admin code to open the secret library, then play your song straight away, or if you're not quite ready, add it anywhere in the current queue.
- Know exactly when your song is on. Every track in the queue has its own countdown, and the whole queue has a total timer, so you know exactly when your song will play and can be ready to hit the dance floor.
- A hidden admin panel. The jukebox has hidden buttons that only open with a key. From here you can change the volume, pause, skip, switch playlist modes and safely shut the jukebox down.
003 Guests & peace of mind
- No repeats. If a guest picks a song that's already in the queue or has already been played, the jukebox lets them know, so the same song doesn't accidentally come round twice. If a song has already been played, guests can still choose to play it again.
- Listen before you pick. Not sure of a song's name, or what to put on next? Put the headphones on, switch to preview mode and listen to tracks while the room keeps hearing the current song.
- Browse by genre. One button re-sorts the whole selection by genre, so it's easy to find the right song.
- Built to keep going. If the power is cut, the jukebox picks up the queue where it left off.

Once you've paid a deposit or paid in full, we work out the details with you by WhatsApp or email:
- confirm the details of your event
- choose any extras you need
- send us your playlist: share a Spotify or Apple Music playlist, or a list of songs, with up to 350 songs for each mode (about 20 hours of music with no repeats) (one mode is included, and each additional mode is £40)
- tell us what you'd like on your light box (names, a theme or your own artwork), and we'll send you a proof

Good questions
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Northamptonshire and cover Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Daventry, Corby, Towcester, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, with nationwide travel available.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We're based in Northamptonshire, and delivery and setup are free within 25 miles. We travel nationwide for an extra charge based on distance, so just ask.
Can the jukebox go outside?
Yes. Outdoors, the jukebox is set up under a 3 × 3 m gazebo for cover, and we bring all the extension cables needed. If there's no mains power, we can provide a quiet generator, and festoon lighting for evening events. These are extras we'll talk through with you.
How loud is it?
The jukebox's own speakers comfortably fill a room for up to around 50 guests. For bigger rooms, larger groups or outdoor events, we'll recommend an additional PA and talk through the best setup for your venue.
Why is it digital rather than CDs?
A CD or vinyl jukebox can take up to 45 seconds to find a track, which kills the atmosphere on a dance floor, and their delicate mechanisms don't like being moved from venue to venue. Ours keeps the original buttons and retro feel, with a small, reliable computer inside. That also makes the secret library, song timers and different music for each part of the day possible.
Why doesn't it have thousands of songs?
Because the playlist is made for your event. Every song is chosen by you or approved from your guests' suggestions, so browsing the jukebox feels like exploring the collective taste of the room rather than scrolling an endless list.
What if a song I want isn't in your library?
We're continuously updating our music database, so just include it in the playlist you send us. Tell us the artist, the song title and the version if it matters (the radio edit, the acoustic one, the original recording), and we'll add it for you.
Is lighting included?
Yes. Two FX lights are included in every hire, alongside the jukebox's own sound-to-light. Additional FX lighting for the room or dancefloor is available on request.
Can I stop guests playing my first dance early?
Yes. Special songs are kept off the menu and can only be played when you access them using the admin code.
